College World Series
The Greatest Show on Dirt
For years, the Omaha Exchange Club has hosted a team traveling to town for the College World Series. Our responsibilities include meeting the team at the airport with a U-Haul for their team equipment, greeting the team at their hotel, getting them checked in and helping out with any needs they may have during their stay. We also help them get loaded up at the hotel for their departure home.
During the series, we help out with anything they may need which could include providing them with cases of water/drinks for practices, snacks after a practice or pizza after a late game. The main event we sponsor for the team is a luncheon/brunch for the entire team and Exchange Club members, their families and friends. This is a great opportunity to interact with the team. Grandkids especially like the event as they can go table to table getting autographs from team members. It is a lot of work for a week to ten days, but it is rewarding and a lot of fun. (And by the way, we have hosted a CWS champion!)
Also, the club has 20 prime reserved seats behind home plate that we have our members sign up for.
Volunteer Opportunities
Supporting Our Local Community
The Exchange Club of Omaha organizes a number of volunteer activities for members and their families. Activities range from highway clean-up, walking in local parades, honoring fallen Veterans, participating in the Wreaths Across Campaign and ringing bells for the Salvation Army.
Social Events
Building Community Among Members
The Exchange Club of Omaha hosts a wide range of events designed to strengthen connections and build a lasting sense of community among our members. Baseball fans especially look forward to one of our signature experiences: attending the College World Series and hosting one of the participating teams and their families for a meal each tournament. From live music to sporting events, we ensure there’s truly something for everyone.
